Easter

The boys enjoyed 2 Easter egg hunts & coloring eggs with cousins Ryan, Austin & Bella.  And we all had a blast celebrating the day among family & good food.  Now here is the motherload of pics.....

8 months

Oliver is 8 months today!!!  I can't believe it.  I mean it does feel like every bit of that 8 months of no sleep but at the same time 8 months?!? He is growing up so fast!  Here are some of his new tricks in the last month:

- Says "dada" & is soooo proud of his new word!
- Crawls backwards & goes from sitting to all 4's rotating until he gets to where he needs to go.
- Has started throwing tantrums if you take something he wants away.  Arched back, scream, legs kicking....yep at 8 months!  I'm scared......
- 75% of time in car is without screaming (if you time it right & offer a finger to hold...good thing I have long arms!)
- Loves to feed himself Mum Mums (baby rice crackers)
- Seems to be obsessed with shoes....definitely a cause of tantrums when you take it away to put on his foot....he might just go bare foot and naked soon. ;o)
- Favorite toys: Sophie the giraffe, going on swings in the few sunny days we've had, balloons, a package of wipes (weird) & anything Henry has
- Absolutely loves his big brother.  Pretty amazing to witness this kind of love & admiration.

- He's still the smiliest, cutest baby with such a contagious laugh just like his big bro.

Gettin' My Body Back

Almost 2 weeks ago I started an 8 week workout program called Mama Wants Her Body Back.  It incorporates specific meals, at home workouts and 2x week bootcamp style workouts with 7 other mamas outside at 6am.  It's no easy task but I haven't felt this good in a long time.  In just 2 weeks I can feel a difference in my physical & mental strength, lost 8.8 lbs in week 1 (not quite down with week 2) and my soul is smiling.  This time I'm taking for me feels incredible and will only positively impact my family too. While it's hard not having my wine, juicy steak or chocolate fix it is so worth it.  I just keep day dreaming of running around in my short shorts this summer loving my toned legs! Almost 1/4 way done...I'll keep you all posted on my progress.

Wonder where he learned this?!? Reminder that everything I do is being closely studied. Yikes.

My Little Rock Stars!

We knew Henry was a music lover very early on when he learned to drum at 6 months and has not stopped since.  He has picked up jamming on the piano or harmonica since then.  We've been waiting to see if and when Oliver just might want to drum along with his brother and today he got his moves down!

Henry then had to up his game and add a jump to his moves....always got to be one step ahead of your little bro right?

And then ended our jam session with a sweet tune..

Dada

Last week Olie learned to say his first word, dada!  Of course!  I thought maybe just maybe I might get a mama first this time around.  Hey I'm just excited he is learning to communicate and it's so darn cute to listen to him try to chat it up.

I'm Back....

With two kids at home and one that does not like to sleep I rarely am able to post updates on here.  I also haven't had a chance to delete all the previous posts that are still public even after securing my site to become private, so until I get on that and become more of a frequent blogger I am back for the world to see!  Plus I will admit one of the reasons I liked blogging to begin with was the networking that occurred along the way and when I went private I lost some of that.  So....until I change my mind again, which will likely happen, hello again all of you long lost friends; blog stalkers ;o) !
