I seriously owe a big update on each kiddo as it's been awhile. Henry just turned 3!!! And, little Oliver is 17 months. This week I will get those fully deserved updates out. But until then I had to share two of my favorite pics/events of this past week.
First, check out the love these boys have for one another. What's so great about this pic is that right before nap/bed time I will say, "time for bed" and Olie takes off running, hops into his big bros bed, lays down and attempts to pull the covers up over him. He sooo wants to be big and share a bed with his best buddy in the whole wide world. Not yet my dear. That would not result in the shut eye so much needed for the whole damn fam! But, one day I promise bunk beds and weekend slumber parties!
And, the other big event was Oliver's first pair of Nike's! This is a big deal as his big brother has big ole flat wide block feet and couldn't fit into any cool kicks. Being that mommy used to get down and dirty on the bball court I could not wait to get my boys in some Nike's. Next up...Air Jordans or some old Barkleys. You are one fiesty little boy Olie and mommy will get you suited up for that small forward, base line runnin', elbow throwin', backboard slammin' day! CANNOT wait...of course you are going to love hoops, right?!?

The Haigh's
This morning I got to spend time playing with my camera with some of my very most favorite people in the world. I know many of you also read Ashley's blog so I won't steal her thunder and only post a few of my favorite pics. I had so much fun with this amazing family. So blessed to have them in our lives.

I'm still alive....
To say I've been pushed to my max is an understatement. I just survived 15 days of driving this ship solo while Chris was hunting up in Kodiak, Alaska. This following the 6 weeks prior of 7 day work weeks from sun up to after sun down for my husband. It's been a long long fall so far. I survived. It may not have been pretty at all times but I survived and do not want to go through that again. Awful and beautiful at the same time. Awful feeling wiped out that just getting through each hour was all I could do to keep my sanity. Single parenting is the absolute hardest thing I have ever done in my entire life. But it was beautiful as I think it taught us all a hard lesson that more balance in our lives is necessary for the greater good of the family. Not just mama bear but the little cubs we have too. We missed daddy. We missed daddy a lot. Daddy missed us a lot. So, I'm hopeful that this crazy farm life schedule we have 75% of the year will change a bit in the future. It will always be hard. There will always be long days. But there is wiggle room to make some changes. So cheers to changes. Cheers to surviving. Cheers to all you single parents out there...you really do rock. Cheers to my wonderful husband who has been "on" with the kids these past few days and I feel rested and got to cook/bake all afternoon. My happy place. :o

Toddler Property Laws
I received this list of toddler laws several months back and just found it again. Made me laugh so I thought I would share.
If I like it, it's mine.
If I like it, it's mine.
If it's in my hand, it's mine.
If I can take it from you, it's mine.
If I had it a little while ago, it's mine.
If it's mine, it must never appear to be yours in any way.
If I'm doing or building something, all the pieces are mine.
If it looks just like mine, it's mine.
If I saw it first, it's mine.
If you are playing with something and you put it down, it automatically becomes mine.
If it's broken, it's yours!
