U-Pick

It's that time again....Carpinito Brothers U-Pick Pumpkin Patch is now open! Come on down and test your skills at the two corn mazes, relax on the hay ride, pick the biggest pumpkin you can find and take home some freshly grown fall produce. Check out more at: http://www.carpinito.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=52&Itemid=60

On another note, today was Henry's first time visiting the U-Pick. Dad took him on his first ever tractor ride around the corn maze and he got to explore lots of pumpkins! Here are a few (ok a lot) of my favorite pics! Hard to pick especially given how important the U-Pick is to the family and what this will mean to Henry as he grows up.

Checking out the carving kits with Dad, Uncle Andy and Cousin Joey And, finally getting weighed...a whole whopping 24 pounds!

New Tricks

Man is our little monkey keeping his mama on her toes all day long! The new trick of the day is to pull himself to a standing position on the bath tub. He actually will let go and hold on with one hand or take a step forward while holding on with both hands to get closer to what might be inside one of his favorite places in the world...the tub! He just couldn't wait for mom to get out of the shower to go check things out. So stinkin' cute and getting so big!

Party Pics

We had such a great time celebrating Chris' 30th b-day! The weather was perfect, the food was yummy and we had a fantastic group of family and friends to celebrate with. Here are some of my favorite pics....can' beat this view!
The yummy food and room decorThe amazing cake his mom made from scratch...notice the sleeping fisherman with the Coug hat and empty Rainers with a fish hooked on the "0" cake. Incredible that she made all this by hand.

BIG 3-0!

Happy birthday husband! I cannot believe you are 30! Like I said this morning it feels just like yesterday that I spent your 22nd birthday with you and was unsure of whether I should buy you a gift since we just met and didn't want to scare you away. I remember opting to get you a couple picture frames as you had a lot of loose pics around your apartment. So glad I didn't scare you away! 8 years later here we are venturing into our 30's hand and hand, going on 3 yrs of marriage after the new year and have a gorgeous little boy we created together. Look at how far we have come babe! I could not be more proud of the man and husband you have become. We have learned a lot this past year and I can honestly say from the bottom of my heart that where we are today is more solid and strong than ever before. Henry and I love you so much. We cannot wait for all the years of success ahead. I hope you have a blast at your bday bash this evening! XOXO, Wifey

Traveling Man

Henry started crawling last Thursday but up until today he hasn't really been traveling too far or moving too quick. Well, let me tell ya, that has certainly changed. He is now into EVERYTHING! Apparently for the past 8 months he has been really checking out the garbage cans in the house as he really wants to dig in them...yep, mom had to stash them all away in cabinets/closets. He also has a fascination with electrical wires....dishwasher and humidifier in his room where the hot items of the day. I don't know how many times I picked him up and tried to redirect him to another toy/area but his little mind did not forget what he was doing and went right back to it. So I'm exhausted....needed a nice big glass of red wine after the little monkey went to bed! Oh, how our lives have changed. ;o)
He finally found how to get to his toys in his closet and pick through what ones he wants to play with. This really made me smile as I have been waiting for him to make these big decisions on his own. :o) He also loves to take out every book on his shelf and give them a big whack and toss them on the floor.Notice the title of the book...that's pretty much what I kept saying all day.
And, as you can see his mind is constantly busy trying to figure out what direction to travel next. So, with that....HAPPY 8 MONTHS MY LITTLE TRAVELING MAN! XOXO

Play Dates

This past week Henry had two play dates. One with his new cousin Isabella (6 weeks) and his two older cousins Ryan & Austin, whom I am sure will show him all their tricks soon enough! And, the other play date was with his girlfriend Westyn (6 months). Westyn and Henry had so much fun together. It was the first time I have actually watched him really play with another baby. They were pretty good about sharing their toys and Westyn really loved to tickle Henry's feet! So cute. I could sit and watch these two play together all day long. Not to mention I love getting time with Westyn's mommy, whom is one of my closest friends. I am so lucky to have you Ash!
